Among Ecotone's renowned brands is Clipper, the world’s first and largest Fairtrade and organic tea brand, recognized globally for its innovative, non-bleached, biodegradable tea bags and a legacy of over 60 Great Taste Awards.

The Challenge

As a B Corp-certified brand, Clipper sought to expand its presence by filling a prime window display at Wholefoods on Kensington High Street, London. This location, a key retail hub, offered an opportunity to engage a diverse audience of shoppers and commuters. The challenge was to create a display that not only captured attention but also represented Clipper’s core values: natural, fair, and delicious.

Solution

To achieve this, Clipper partnered with Colour Studios, a company that shares its commitment to sustainability and ethical practices. Together, we designed an eye-catching and creative window display that would effectively communicate Clipper’s brand story.

The design process involved close collaboration to ensure the display would resonate with Clipper’s values while being visually appealing. Colour Studios transformed the space overnight, using 3D cardboard elements, including a life-sized 3D tea box. The display also featured double-sided bugs suspended from the ceiling, adding movement and visual interest, and layered grass elements that created depth, bringing the scene to life.

The vibrant and interactive display was strategically placed to maximise visibility, targeting passers-by, shoppers, and those travelling into the city. The use of bright colours and engaging elements was designed to not only attract attention but also to convey Clipper’s dedication to sustainability and quality.

Conclusion

This case study highlights the successful collaboration between Ecotone, Clipper, and Colour Studios. By staying true to the brand’s values and focusing on creativity, we were able to deliver a retail display that resonated with the target audience while reinforcing Clipper’s identity as a leader in Fairtrade and organic products.
